A Forever Home for Camp Hayden
We are inspired to create a camp for people with special needs that incorporates their entire family. Our goal is to acquire land to create a forever home for Camp Hayden that can provide us with unlimited opportunities; a fully equipped Adventure Camp, Lodge, cabins, horse arena, butterfly garden and much more.

Land…
Camp Hayden needs a home and that starts with the perfect piece of land we can grow into. From camping adventures to small art activities, a permanent location will bring to life every imaginative adventure Camp Hayden can provide! We are looking for 20-30 acres, in an area close to Idaho Falls, to make our vision come to life. This property will be home to all Camp Hayden programs and activities. We are open to acquiring land through donations.
Lodge…
All good camps have a wonderful lodge to allow for social gatherings, meals, and activities. The Camp Hayden Lodge would include an industrial kitchen facility with serving stations and fully accessible bathrooms with changing stations. The open-air design of our multipurpose lodge will maximize our ability to enjoy all types of Idaho weather and activities.
We believe there is a huge need for a place where everyone can come enjoy adventures- Regardless of their unique abilities. The Adventure Camp will be in an area close to Idaho Falls. Our Camp would include a beautiful lodge, cabins, horse arena, outdoor activities, and an RV park. Fully Accessible of course! Imagine wheelchair accessible paths throughout the entire grounds, outdoor activities-zip lines, rope bridge, tree house, petting zoo, ponds, water activities, and a beautiful butterfly / sensory garden. Open to families who have children with special needs and the entire community!
Horse Arena/Petting Zoo

Camp Hayden believes in the power of connection between people and animals. Each year we provide an opportunity for our Campers to experience horses through our Partner Champs Heart. Providing a permanent home for Champs Heart horses and programs is essential to the vision of Camp Hayden. Our Arena and pastures will offer a permanent place for Champs Heart horses to live while also providing a place for our other petting zoo animals.
Cabins
Our campers come with a variety of needs. Many families wish to enjoy the experience of camping in a tent, or their personal RV, while others need the comforts of cabins with running water and electricity. Camp Hayden will include all options for our families with accessible cabins that offer a more rustic setting and Cabins with water and electricity.
RV Park
For some of our campers, the comforts of a familiar environment can set the stage for their success. Many families who have children with special needs are only able to camp in their personal RV due to medical needs, sensory issues, or just their overall comfort. That is why our plan includes an RV park. Families’ can bring their own RV and still participate in all that Camp Hayden has to offer. These RV sites can also be available to rent to the public which will also contribute to our sustainable effort.
Outdoor Activity Area
Nature has a way of soothing the soul and there is no better way to relax than an open outdoor activity area with a butterfly / sensory garden, accessible paths, water features, and an open-air theatre. For those who are a little more adventurous, our mini golf and zip line can surely add to the fun!
We dream of a truly accessible indoor activity center that will be open to the public. A place where you can learn through exploration and creative play. Our Fantasy Factory will offer barrier-free family fun and entertainment for everyone, from virtual reality to interactive play areas! This building will not only provide an inclusive play environment for the community, but also create sustainability for Camp Hayden.
